Time to Turn in Your Lenten Rice Bowl Almsgiving Donation
This year, more than ever, the need for disaster relief and ongoing food distribution and medicine distribution and development programs that save lives is extremely urgent.
It is time to turn in your Lenten Rice Bowl almsgiving donation. The filled Rice Bowls can be dropped off at the parish office in person, or cash or check can be labeled “Rice Bowl” and placed in the Sunday collection basket.
Local grants from the 25% of Rice Bowl funds that stay with our diocese will be available to some parishes and groups that work to feed the hungry locally.
Grant applications are available through the Life, Peace & Justice Commission of the Diocese.
