Pastoral Juvenil Retreat – March 2025: A Transformative Journey of Faith
The March 2025 Pastoral Juvenil Retreat was a profound experience of faith, community, and personal growth. Rooted in the spiritual tradition of Saint Ignatius' Spiritual Exercises, the retreat offered participants a powerful opportunity to deepen their relationship with God through personal prayer, reflection, and adoration of the Holy Sacrament.
Beyond the spiritual formation, the retreat fostered a strong sense of community and networking among young adults who share a common desire to grow in their faith. One of the most memorable challenges was the Polar Plunge—a symbolic act of courage that invited participants to confront and overcome their fears, embodying the spirit of trust and surrender that is central to the Ignatian journey.
This retreat was not only a moment of spiritual renewal, but also a step forward in the personal and communal faith journey of everyone involved
Our Diocese Hosts Region XIII Hispanic Ministry Directors Annual Meeting for the First Time
In a spirit of unity and collaboration, our Diocese had the honor of hosting the Region XIII Hispanic Ministry Directors Annual Meeting for the first time. This significant gathering brought together directors from across the region, which is comprised of 12 dioceses spanning six states—including the Archdiocese of Las Vegas and our own diocese.
The meeting provided a valuable platform for dialogue, strategic planning, and the sharing of pastoral initiatives that address the spiritual and cultural needs of the Hispanic Catholic community. By hosting this event, our Diocese reaffirmed its commitment to fostering leadership, inclusivity, and growth within Hispanic Ministry both locally and throughout Region XIII.
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing mission of the Church and to collaborate with our regional partners in building a more vibrant and united faith community.
