Statement Addressing the Passing of Karen Lee Barreras, 

Former Superintendent of Catholic Schools for The Diocese of Reno

It is with deep sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Karen Lee Barreras, who formerly served as Director at Holy Child Development Center, Principal at Little Flower School and as Superintendent of Schools in the Diocese of Reno. Karen’s life was dedicated to education, leadership and the wellbeing of students across our region. Her commitment to service and community upliftment left an indelible mark on many lives.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to all who knew and loved her. During this time of grief, we ask our community to keep Karen and her family in their thoughts and prayers.
