SUMMARY:TMIY (That Man Is YOU) – St. Albert the Great – Weekly Men’s Program
DESCRIPTION:TMIY is a program designed to help men become better husbands\, fathers\, uncles\, grandfathers – men who want to deepen their faith and be positive role models in our community. We focus on our relationships with God\, our wives\, families\, and with God in each of the persons of the Trinity. Our world today offers limited encouragement for us to become the men that God intends us to be. \nOur current program The Fight of Faith will enable and equip men to engage in the cosmic\, spiritual battle raging in our day\, and in this process\, authentic masculine identities will emerge and inspire heroic lives of service to a calling greater than ourselves. The Fight of Faith is uniquely both practical and contemplative.  \nWe meet every Wednesday morning at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church. We also offer a virtual opportunity for you to participate. We have done this hybrid approach in the past\, and while successful\, we found we build relationships so much more effectively when we meet in person. We meet at 6:00am with a light breakfast and camaraderie. We will experience content that is inspirational and impactful. We discuss and share faith beginning at 7:00am\, and you will be on your way to your day promptly at 7:30am. \nTMIY is a great opportunity for Men to grow spiritually\, share experiences\, and form bonds with other men. DESCRIPTION:TMIY is a program designed to help men become better husbands\, fathers\, uncles\, grandfathers – men who want to deepen their faith and be positive role models in our community. We focus on our relationships with God\, our wives\, families\, and with God in each of the persons of the Trinity. Our world today offers limited encouragement for us to become the men that God intends us to be. \nOur current program The Fight of Faith will enable and equip men to engage in the cosmic\, spiritual battle raging in our day\, and in this process\, authentic masculine identities will emerge and inspire heroic lives of service to a calling greater than ourselves. The Fight of Faith is uniquely both practical and contemplative.  \nWe meet every Wednesday morning at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church. We also offer a virtual opportunity for you to participate. We have done this hybrid approach in the past\, and while successful\, we found we build relationships so much more effectively when we meet in person. We meet at 6:00am with a light breakfast and camaraderie. We will experience content that is inspirational and impactful. We discuss and share faith beginning at 7:00am\, and you will be on your way to your day promptly at 7:30am. \nTMIY is a great opportunity for Men to grow spiritually\, share experiences\, and form bonds with other men. DESCRIPTION:Pastoral Juvenil Invite\nThe Pastoral Juvenil will celebrate its Annual Posada Juvenil on December 16\, 2023. \nPosada means “lodging” or “inn” and is a celebration honoring the birth of baby\nJesus. It was created by the first missionaries in America\, as a re-telling of the\nstory of how Mary and Joseph were looking for a place to stay in the days\nleading up to the birth of Jesus.\nOur Posada has various beautiful moments. We begin our posada by praying the\nrosary\, and then we go door to door singing the Posada\, recalling how Mary and\nJoseph were looking for a place to stay. After this\, we will share traditional and\ndelicious food.\nThere are some other highlight moments like the Pastorela\, which represents the\nappearance of the angels to the shepherds and the difficulties they faced in\nreaching the manger to worship the newborn. Also\, another beautiful moment is\nthe breaking of the piñata. The posada’s piñata is in the shape of seven-pointed\nstars that represent the seven capital sins. The breaking of the piñata and the\ncandies that come pouring out\, represent all the gifts that Jesus brings us with\nhis birth\, including himself\, our greatest gift.\nYoung adults are invited to attend. We will be so happy to have you enjoying this\nbeautiful meaningful tradition. You can find more details in the attached flyer.
