All volunteers who wish to volunteer around youth and vulnerable adults within our diocese must adhere to the following criteria:

• Must be registered on www.Virtus.org
  • When you register for a new account, please make sure to select your role as “Youth Ministry”
• Must have record of completion of the A Plan to Protect God’s Children 4.0 training course (either live or online)
• Recertification training after two years of original course completion and every five years thereafter
• Monthly bulletin completion for up to 24 months
• A cleared electronic criminal history background check every five years (this is initiated through your VIRTUS account.)

Additionally, all volunteers who wish to participate with youth or chaperone events must submit to a federal fingerprint background check (renewed every 5 years).
